Steven Edward Harris was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 27, 1952, to William and Betty Harris. He went to be with our Lord on March 20, 2025, at the age of 72.

Steve was blessed with a very full happy life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all his family and friends. Steve had a generous heart and the love that he had for his family was larger than life. Steve and his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, and dear wife Patti had recently celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary.

Steve attended Carl Albert High School then began his lifelong career, following in his father’s footsteps as a carpenter. He worked for several construction companies throughout the years. He also built custom homes for his family including the family lake Cabin.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, Thunder Basketball, and OU football. He loved spending time at the family lake cabin in Eufaula, OK. He cherished fishing, duck hunting and attending sporting events with his grandchildren. His favorite hobbies included working on custom motorcycles, Chevy trucks and VW bugs. He also loved attending car shows and even entered his own custom yellow bug in many, winning several awards.

Steve is proceeded in death by his father, William Harris, and his brother Carl Harris. He is survived by his wife Patti Harris (Midwest City), his mother Betty Harris, his brother Warren Harris and his wife Pam (Midwest City), and sister Rhonda Lattin and her husband Travis (Jones), and his beloved daughters Shelly Ging and her husband Shannon (Midwest City), and Amy Holloway (Moore). He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Baylor Ging, Caden Ging, Isabella Holloway, and Grayson Holloway who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Steve will be missed immensely by his family. His family will rely on their faith and the following words: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
