It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we must announce the sudden passing of our beloved fiancé, son, brother and the light that shone so brightly in so many people's lives, Jason “Jay” Michael Copper on March 20, 2025.
Born in Port Jefferson, New York, Jason entered this world on August 4, 1985, the only son of father Michael A. Copper and mother Diane Marie Copper. From an early age, Jason enjoyed playing sports and working out. He attended Bellport and the Patchogue Medford School District before ultimately graduating from Sachem High School.
Jay started working in the pool industry from a young age, working for several years at Big Blue Pools before proudly founding his own business, JJ Pool Service LLC in 2023. Jay worked hard to become a familiar and trusted face in the community, promoting and building a stellar reputation throughout the industry. He took great pride in his work and was admired by both his customers and colleagues alike.
Jay had a passion for music, movie nights and video gaming. He cherished spending time with his many friends, family, his four cats and most of all the beautiful love, admiration and patience he held in his heart for his fiancé Vanessa whom he looked so forward to marrying. They shared a beautiful bond, building dreams for their future that was tragically cut too short. Jay was an incredible person—kind-hearted, hardworking, and full of life. He had an infectious, positive energy and was always there happy to lend a helping hand. Despite his short time here, Jay was deeply loved and brought immense laughter, joy, and kindness to everyone he met.
Jay is survived by both of his loving parents, Michael A. Copper and Diane M. Copper, sister Jessica Rosati and brother-in-law Rocky, his special niece and goddaughter Peyton Rosati and the love of his life, fiancé Vanessa Kenwood-Copper and her three children whom he considered his own; Alyssa, Christian and Jordan.
We ask that you keep Jason’s fiancé, family, friends, and all those who loved him in your thoughts and prayers.
