Susan Anne Moore, 87, of Bridgeport, NY died peacefully on march 20, 2025, the day her favorite team had their season opener and won! Go Yankees! Born on March 21, 1937, she graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in teaching. She taught in the Chittenango Central School District until she had children and became the best mother and grandmother ever!
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert V. Moore; her parents, Matthew and Florence Kahut; as well as, her brother, Peter Kahut. Her survivors include her children, Karen Guillaume (David), Elizabeth Fakhoury, Amy Diel (Todd), and Charles Moore; and grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew, Isabel, Ren, Bobby, Danny, Rhys, and Cary.
In her heyday she enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting, knitting, and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed being a mom. She was the mom who baked cookies on Fridays for her children and any friends that walked through her door. She attended games coached by her husband, Bob, as well as her children’s sporting events. No small feat! In later years, Susan cooked dinner every Sunday for her extended family and enjoyed the laughter and shenanigans that ensued. She was available for her children, as well as any other children who sought her out. Everyone knew Mrs. Moore would always be at her little round table in the kitchen when needed.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Susan’s life just as she would have wanted - surrounded by family, love, and the unspoken understanding that she will always be with us. You gave us everything and we will always be grateful! Tell Dad we said “Hi”!
