Glenda Delores Brown Obituary
Glenda D. Brown, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born on Monday, October 19, 1942 to the late Dewey and Ida (Chowning) Phillips. Glenda was a 1960 graduate of Copley High School where she was a cheerleader. She retired from Ohio Edison after 40 years of service. Glenda was a longtime faithful member of the Akron Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert R. Brown; brother, Leon (Mary) Phillips; and brother-in-law, Charles Lee Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Jill Brown (Vince Kremperger) and Lori Brown (Tim Baugess); sister, Janice Johnson; niece, Cindy Stansfield; nephew, John Neidert; and many other family and friends.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319, followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m., with Rev. Todd McKenney officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
