Elisa Sudol Obituary

Elisa Sudol, 70, of Pompton Lakes, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 20, 2025. Born in Queens, NY, to Kurt and Jacqueline Westrich, Elisa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Elisa dedicated 38 years of her life to her work at Entenmann's, where she worked in the thrift store in Wayne, NJ. It was there that she met her beloved husband, creating a partnership built on love, respect, and shared memories. Elisa retired in 2015, after nearly four decades of service, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Elisa and her husband bought a home in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey where they raised two boys and gave them a life of love and everything a child could ask for. She was always there to drop off and pick up her sons from school making sure she got a kiss before leaving the car. She also made it a priority to attend and cheer on her boys in their soccer games, and built great friendships with their friends’ parents.

Her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment. Elisa cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being, constantly reminding them of this – never missing an opportunity to say, “I am proud of you” and “I love you more.” She was and will always be her sons’ hero, role model, and perfect fan for her unconditional love and dedication she has given them, which will continue to be spread to her grandchildren. Her love shined every moment she shared with her grandchildren, bringing them to and home from daycare (spoiling them with treats every moment she could), and feeding and holding her cherished granddaughter. She never forgot to end a conversation with “is there anything you need.” She loved family gatherings and helped at the Sudol’s Farm stand in Montville, NJ, where she was able to connect with people and share her love for the simple joys of life while being surrounded by family. She loved her daughters-in-law Brittney and Jessica, never forgetting to remind them of her love and thanks for caring for her boys. She will be missed by her close furry friends Cody and Nola, but embraced by the wagging tails and purrs of Rollout, Sparky, and Mr. Puddy.

An avid reader, Elisa had a deep love for books and stories, always expanding her knowledge and finding new worlds to explore. She would frequently exchange books with friends and family to always find the next great book. She was also a fan of television series, particularly Yellowstone and Survivor, enjoying the drama and excitement these shows brought to her evenings.

Elisa is remembered for her caring nature, her devotion to and love of her family, and her positive spirit that uplifted everyone around her. She remains in the hearts of her loving husband, children, and grandchildren, continuing to be there for them in spirit.

Elisa is welcomed into heaven by her father, Kurt Westrich, who passed away when she was very young, and her mother and stepfather Jacqueline and Danny Carrado, whom she loved dearly.

She lives on through her husband of 38 years, Robert “Bob” Sudol, her sons Brian Sudol (Brittney) and Chris Sudol (Jessica), her grandchildren, Brooks, Luke, Cayden, and Quinn. She also lives on through her sisters, Karen Ladolcetta (Pat) and Lorraine Melillo (Tom), her brother Russell Westrich (MJ), her sister-in-law Sherry Sudol, and many nieces and nephews.

Love ya, Like ya, With All of Our Hearts. We will see you soon.
