Larry Keck Obituary

Larry T. Keck, age 75, of College Station, Texas, passed away on March 20th, 2025.


He was born on March 31, 1949, to Millard T. Keck and Velma G. (Thomas) Keck in Paulding, Ohio. Larry was a beloved husband to his wife, Terry, and a devoted father. He graduated from Oakwood High School in Oakwood, Ohio, and went on to earn a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Purdue University. Larry proudly served in the Missouri National Guard and received an honorable discharge.


Larry had a distinguished career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for over 30 years, where he worked tirelessly to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the benefit of the American people. Known for his fairness and respect toward others, he treated everyone with integrity and kindness. After retiring, Larry enjoyed serving as a MHSAA basketball and volleyball official.


An avid outdoorsman, Larry loved fishing and hunting. He especially cherished time spent outdoors with his grandchildren, teaching them to appreciate God’s beautiful creation. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Larry was also a wonderful photographer and had a special passion for capturing the beauty of wildlife through his lens.


Larry is survived by his wife, Terry; his son, Jason (Sandra); his daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Wilson, Amy (Matt) Parris, and Lisa (Ronnie) Wagner; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua (Erin), Grace (Justin), Jonathan, Josiah, Faith, Susanna, Sarah, Jedediah, Lucinda, Remington (Faith), Madeline, Caroline, Cullen, Kate, Donovan, Abigail, Isaiah, Great Grandchildren, Clementine, Melody; and his brother, Ray (Carla) Keck. He was preceded in death by his father, Millard T. Keck, mother, Velma G. Keck, and sister, Ann Engel.


Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for visitation with service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Home in Jefferson City, Missouri. Graveside services will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City. Pastor Tyler Murphy will officiate the service.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert Conte Foundation for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders, Inc. (Attn: Cindy Conte, 17850 Rock Prairie Road, College Station, TX 77845).
