May 1, 1941 – March 20, 2025

Thomas J. Matko Sr., 83, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at his residence. He was born in Coalport, son of the late Evan and Anna (Zupon) Matko. He married Anne Hewitt in 1962.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years; one son, Tom Jr. and wife Lisa; two granddaughters: Erica and Ally; and a great grandson, Ty, all of Hollidaysburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joe in 1996 and grandson, Nick in 2022.

Tom owned and operated Tom Matko Refuse Service and was a member of the VFW Post 7034.

He enjoyed traveling with his family, going to sporting events and spending time at the family camp.

Friends will be received from 5-7pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday March 25, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, with Father Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant.
