Michael Bowden was born May 25, 1953 in Sacramento, California to Joseph and Reba Bowden. He passed away at 7:40 pm on March 20, 2025 at home with his partner, Jeanie; son, Kasea; and dog, Carmie at his side. He was in Hospice for two and a half weeks after failing health with Parkinson's, Diabetes and a GI Bleed.
Michael has lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was in the Marines directly out of High School. He worked at numerous jobs including Train Track Repair, Garage Doors, and Fork Lift Driver for Chemical Companies and Phone Book Manufacturer, He retired 8 years ago. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and most of all playing with his grandkids. He never missed a sporting event of theirs. He was the best Papa.
He is survived by his son, Kasea Sanders; partner Jeanie Labrie and her children; brothers, Larry, Ray and Dave; sisters, Janice, Sue (John), and Becky; as well as many extended family members, including nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Alijah; and sister, Sandy.
