Robert L. Fretz, 82, of Palmer Township, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his home.
Born August 10, 1942, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Edward S. and Katherine (Hagley) Fretz.
His wife of 55 years, Clarice E. (Ask) Fretz, passed away May 7, 2020.
Robert served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He retired from the former Atlantic States Cast Iron Pipe Co., now McWane Ductile, Phillipsburg, NJ, where he was employed for 42 years.
Robert enjoyed drag racing and working on cars. He was a fan of NASCAR #3 the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and the Dallas Cowboys.
Surviving is a daughter Sherri A. Gellock and her husband Lewis, of Wilson Borough; a grandson, Robert Gellock; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by five sisters, Evelyn, Catherine and Dorothy Everitt, Miriam Lines, and Florence Fretz.
Services will be held at 11am Tuesday, March 25th, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call Tuesday 10-11am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
