William passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 84 in Overland Park, KS. William was born March 13, 1941, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Emery & Delore Rentschler. Services will be held at 2:30pm on March 26, 2025, at Highland Park Funeral Home in the Mausoleum. William graduated from Kansas School for the Deaf. He was married to Charlotte for many years and shared their love for dogs. He loved bowling and was good at it. William worked for the United States Postal Service until retirement and worked part time at Target. Preceding in death are Father Emery Rentschler, Mother Delores Rentschler, sisters Carol Ann Byrd, Suzann Rentschler, brother Robert Rentschler. He survives by wife Charlotte Rentschler and Nieces Tammy Sullivan, Julia Henley, Kristin Byrd, Bridget Lastovica, and Heather Rentschler and Nephews Charlie Byrd III, Loren Rentschler, Fredrick Byrd, Edward Byrd, and Bobby Rentschler and many great nieces and nephews.
