Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Susan Marie Weber, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 79. Susan was born on April 17, 1945, to Herman and Frances (Douglas) Tomforde in Saginaw, Michigan. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald “Gerry” D. Weber, on July 7, 1962, in Saginaw. Together, they shared 52 years of love and memories before Gerry’s passing.

Susan was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church and a current member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She worked for several years at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Burn Unit as a Nurse’s Aide. She found joy in many simple pleasures, including reading, crocheting, and shopping. A true lover of being outside, Susan took great pride in her garden and the beautiful flowers she lovingly grew. Above all, Susan cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Susan’s memory will be carried on by her two daughters, Wendy (Rick) Plum and Michelle Tanner; her six grandchildren, Jessica (Scott) Rethman, Jacob Rethman, Tyler (Jamie) Plum, Tanner (Brittany) Plum, Brooklyn Tanner, and Wyatt Tanner; two great-grandchildren, Aleigha and Liam Plum; two sisters, Jackie (Bert) Hager and Vicki (Ronald) Stemple; brother-in-law, Gene (Marty) Weber; longtime friend, Barb Honsinger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerry, and a daughter, Tracy Rethman.

The Weber family would like to express their deep gratitude to the team at All Valley Home and Hospice, especially Lori, Jessica, and Robert, for their compassionate care during Susan's final days.

Memorial Service: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Kirk Abatelli officiating. In keeping with Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation: Friends and family are welcome to visit with the family on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Susan’s memory may consider donations to the Shaw Cancer Center of Edwards, Colorado.
