Linda L. Clegg of Calabash, a spirited and loving soul, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2025, in Bolivia, NC, at the age of 63. Born on November 21, 1961, in Oak Park, Illinois, Linda was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Linda's nurturing spirit touched many. She dedicated her professional years to working in accounts receivable in Illinois, where her diligence and commitment left a lasting impression on her colleagues. Beyond her work, Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures—shopping adventures, serene walks, the thrill of concerts, and savoring fine dining experiences.

In her later years, Linda and her husband, Herbert Clegg, embarked on a new chapter, relocating from Illinois to Calabash, North Carolina. On the recommendation of a dear friend, everything fell into place seamlessly, allowing Linda and Herb to embrace their retirement years together in a tranquil setting that they cherished deeply.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Paul Lolakos, whose memory she held dear. She leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted husband, Herbert Clegg; her cherished mother, Angeline Lolakos of Illinois; and her beloved brother, Chris, residing in California. Linda was also a caring stepmother to Kyle Clegg and Erin Fick, both of Illinois. She will be fondly remembered by her cousins, Julie and Angie, also of Illinois, along with countless friends who were touched by her generous spirit.

Although no public services are planned at this time, Linda's family encourages those who wish to honor her memory to do so in ways that celebrate the vibrant life she led. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her—a testament to a life beautifully lived and a soul that inspired others through simple acts of kindness and love.
