John A. Gielczyk

Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Brian's House in Essexville, MI. The son of the late Clarion and Irene (Lewandowski) Gielczyk. John was born June 10, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army reserves. He was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear (Plant 6) for 30 years until his retirement. John loved having pizza with the family on the occasional Sunday night. He also enjoyed looking at classic cars as well as attending car shows in his yellow Dodge Viper.
John was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council as well as the Falcons of America.
Surviving are daughter, Brooke (Mark) Sumersett, Bonneau Beach, S.C.; son, Brian (Fawn) & grandson, Bryce Gielczyk, Saginaw Twp; sister, Mary Jo (Richard) Clement, Ada, MI.; nieces, April (Kurt) Race (his God-daughter) Ada, MI., Stephanie (Tom), Hart, MI., Michelle Gielczyk, a nephew, Michael Gielczyk; sister in-law, Jenny Gielczyk and his sweetheart of 31 years, Arlene LaBeau, Saginaw Twp; including her son Chuck (DeAnna) LaBeau, Saginaw; and daughter Marilyn (Gerald) Sapak, Traverse City.
He was preceded in death by brother, Dennis Gielczyk.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to take place at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate.
