Timothy Eugene Smith was born to Patricia Lee Smith on October 18, 1955. He was raised in the West End of Louisville KY. Tim attended Shawnee High School and attended First Congregational Methodist Church.

Tim was a very private man and at times his actions in life were reflective of his privacy. He had a desire to be a professional basketball player. In fact, he was very good at basketball and spend many of his summer days and evening playing basketball at the Portland Boys Club. He loved the Louisville Cardinals and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Tim had one daughter, Timonda who he loved more than he expressed. He always wanted to be a good father and have a family. He joined the United States Airforce November 12, 1973, with the sole goal of making himself into a better man. He was Honorably discharged on April 7, 1976, at the rank of Airman First Class.

Committal Service and Military Honors will be presented on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central,
