Bruce S. Feldman Obituary

Bruce S. Feldman, of Sarasota, FL, formerly Toledo, OH and Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 93. Bruce's out-going nature and robust personality were adored by all who knew him. He enjoyed two long marriages with his cherished wives Phyllis and Eleanor, and deeply loved his extended family and friends. Bruce was a graduate of The Ohio State University and a true Buckeye fan. He loved baseball and was a little league coach for his son Philip's team. He closely followed the Detroit Tigers, playing in their fantasy league after retirement, as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates, and most recently adopted the Pittsburgh Steelers as his own. As an avid golfer, Bruce's highest achievement was his Hole-In-One at Stone Oak Country Club. His rich, deep voice was enjoyed by many as a charter member of the Sarasota Jewish Chorale. Professionally, after helming the accounting firm of Kleinman, Feldman & Nathanson in Toledo, OH and serving as president of his local CPA Society, he joined the accounting firm of Ernst & Young as a partner and Director of Entrepreneurial Services. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor (nee Baker); children Philip (Lisa) Feldman, Rabbi Marla Feldman, and Pamela (Greg) Feldman-Hill; and step-children Sue (Rick Gilkey) Baker, Shelley (David) Chamberlain, and Dr. David (Dr. Sharon Dilworth) Baker. Bruce was enormously proud of his grandchildren Hope (Joe) Schultz, Hannah Feldman, Jack Feldman, Lillian (Ben Tungland) Feldman-Hill, Adam Toal, Laura (Zach Flanagan-Frankl) Toal, Zack (Tory Klingenstein) Toal, Michael Chamberlain, Brian (Marissa) Chamberlain, Victor Baker, and Alex Baker; and his 5 great grandchildren. Bruce was pre-deceased by his wife Phyllis, siblings Thelma, Julian and Devera, and parents Philip and Sophie Feldman. He was a member of Congregation Shomer Emunim (Sylvania), Temple Sinai (Sarasota), and Temple Emanuel (Pittsburgh.) Funeral services will be held at Congregation Shomer Emunim, Sylvania, Ohio on Friday, March 28 at 11 am, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials preferred to his synagogues or charity of your choice.
