Mr. Carlis Lee Smith, age 83, of Roopville passed away March 20, 2025.

A graveside inurnment service will be held Sunday March 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Glenloch Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Terry Harper and Rev. Neil Awbrey officiating.

Mr. Smith was born December 19, 1941 in Cleburne County, AL to the late James Monroe Smith and Ellen Catherine Weaver Smith. He was a Baptist by faith and was retired from Southwire.

Survivors include: two sons, Jeff Smith of Heflin and Jason Smith (Heather) of Clermont, GA; nine grandchildren; one sister, Judy Lepard of Roopville; two brothers, David Smith of Carrollton and Mardis Smith of Glenloch; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Ruth “Shortie” Smith; a sister, Jan Green; and a brother, Sammy Smith.
