Maria F. Ruiz, age 86, of Clovis, NM, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm, The Chapel, 1500 Thornton Street. Burial to follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Garden, 1601 E Llano Estacado. David Montanez, Robert Montanez, Jimmy Montanez, Carlos Vazquez, Josh Rodriguez, and Robert Jr. Montanez will serve as pallbearers.

Maria was born on March 9, 1939, to Francisco Villarreal and Trinidad Guevara in El Salto Durango, Mexico. She was married to Manuel Montanez for 46 years till his passing. She enjoyed reading her Bible and gardening. Maria loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Maria Montanez, Leonor Montanez, Robert (Ann) Montanez, Lisa Sintas (Mark), David Montanez (Beatrice), and Jimmy Montanez, 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Francisco Villarreal and Trinidad Guevara, her husband; Manuel Montanez, and one son; Manuel Guevara,
