Mrs. Rita Ash Clifton, 81, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Dee Kennedy Senior Center in Auburn, Ga following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Brain Stephens will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on July 30, 1943 in Lagrange, she was the daughter of the late James Ash and Odessa Presley Ash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; James D. Ash and Ransom M. Ash. Mrs. Clifton retires from the V.A. Hospital where she worked in Medical Librarian, and was a member of New Holland Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clifton is survived by her Husband, Alvin "Bud" Clifton of Gainesville, her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Kathryn Ash of Bethlehem, Ga, and her sister-in-law, Christine Ash of Gainesville and a number of other loving relatives.
