Robert Paul Bigger Obituary

Robert Paul Bigger, known affectionately as Bob to all who adored him, embarked on his final joyride through the pearly gates on March 20, 2025. Born in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA, on January 30, 1951, he returned to his roots to take his last bow in the very city that had shaped his vibrant spirit. Bob lived his life with the throttle wide open, a testament to his years as an Air Force refueling division with the 171st Air Wing and Pittsburgh Police Officer. His love for adventure was only rivaled by his passion for public service, and he served his country and community with the same gusto he brought to the dance floor. Graduating from Langley High School in 1971, Bob was more than just a man in uniform; he was a beacon of laughter and kindness, and his legacy is as enduring as his love for a good tune. Family was the cornerstone of Bob's world. He leaves behind his Dear wife, Toni, with whom he shared a great love story. His brother John, daughters Amy (and son-in-law Curt Egnew), Julie (and son-in-law James Williamson), Lori (and son-in-law Sean Jameson), and his son Scott (and daughter-in-law Nancy) will continue to walk in the footsteps of his larger-than-life example. Bob also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Mackenzie, Max, Cassidy, Elijah, Tyson, Seth, Landen, Jordyn, Sydney, Mya, Sienna, and Lyla, and great-grandchildren Layla and Killian, who will no doubt inherit his mischievous twinkle and zest for life. Bob's interests were as eclectic as his sense of humor. A motorcycle enthusiast, a singer who could rival Sinatra on his best day, and a dancer with moves that could outshine Travolta, Bob was the life of every party. His loving, kind, and spirited nature was contagious, and he had a unique ability to light up a room with just his presence—or a well-timed joke. In the spirit of Bob, lets all remember him by his favorite farewell saying, "See you later alligator, after while crocodile"! A man of many hats, Bob never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't shared a joke with yet. His legacy is not just in the careers he built or the family he raised, but in the laughter he spread and the memories he crafted, which are as indelible as his footprints on the dance floor. As we bid farewell to Bob, a man who lived life with the joy and enthusiasm of a stand-up comic, let us remember that every time we hear the rev of a motorcycle engine, the smooth crooning of a classic tune, or the infectious beat that gets our feet moving, Bob is there, reminding us to live fully, laugh loudly, and dance like nobody's watching. Bob Bigger, a true original, has left the stage, but his encore will continue in our hearts and stories for generations to come. And just like any good comedian, he's made sure his final exit was on a high note, leaving us all with smiles amidst our tears. So here's to Bob—a man who taught us that life, like comedy, is best enjoyed with a full heart, a cold beer and a ready grin.

Family and friends are welcome to pay respects to Bob and his family at the American Legion Langley Post 496 Located at 2863 Chartiers Avenue in Sheridan at 1:00 pm
