Harriet V. (Oller) Daugherty Obituary

Harriet V. (Oller) Daugherty, 69, formerly of the Apollo area, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in St. Vincent Inpatient Hospice, Indianapolis, Indiana. Born November 4, 1949 in Lordstown, OH, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Oller & Ila (Powell) Oller. Harriet moved from the Apollo area to Casper, Wyoming to live with her son Dale for a time, and later moved to Westfield, IN, to live with her son Paul. Harriet worked for Jensport Clothing as well as in production at Uncle Charley’s Sausage Company. She was a member of the North Apollo Church of God. Harriet enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, and baking. She most loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Cristi. In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Daugherty; and her brothers, Francis J. Oller & Paul E. Oller. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Sherri) Daugherty of Westfield, IN, Dale E. (Amanda) Daugherty, Jr. of Casper, WY; grandchildren, Shawn, Nicholas, Anthony, Alyssa, & Cristi Daugherty (and one on the way!); great granddaughter, Arianna; siblings, Anna (Kerry) Sheesley of Warren, OH, Lee Oller of Transfer, PA, Helen Smith of Saxton, PA, Eugene (Carolyn) Oller of Levittsburg, OH, Rose (Gerald) Reynolds of Eaton, OH, Jean (Fred) Dixon of Warren, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiating. Private interment in Bethel Cemetery, Bethel Township, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions made in Harriet’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
