William John McFeeters Obituary

Bill McFeeters June 27, 1944 - February 19, 2018 William "Bill" McFeeters Jr., 73, of Grants Pass passed away at his home on Monday, February 19, 2018. Bill was born June 27, 1944, in Escondido, CA to W. John & Marslie McFeeters. He graduated with the Class of 1963 from Monterey Bay Academy. In his early years he was a mechanic & machinist in Eagle Rock and La Crescenta, CA before relocating his family to Grants Pass in 1978. He established his own repair shop; Grants Pass Auto Center, which he successfully ran for over 30 years before he decided to close the doors and work from home. Bill was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he met and later married his true love, Marianne Storfjell, in 2013. Bill had a passion for cars & racing. He enjoyed Saturday night races and being a part of the pit crew at Saugus Speedway, CA then later in Medford, OR. Additionally, Bill would ride off road, including jeeps, dirt bikes and dune buggies. He truly enjoyed building his own toys for such outings. He was often seen around town in his '56 Ford pickup. Bill had a love of nature. He would sit watching birds, enjoyed fishing & hiking Cathedral Hills. One of his favorite pastimes in years prior was roadtrips on his motorcycle. Survivors include Marianne, his three daughters: Kristine Lairson, Shelly Beaudin (Don) and Shirley McFeeters; four grandchildren: Amber Lairson, Samantha Lairson, Donny Beaudin III and Ashley Harrison; and two great-grandchildren. Siblings: Kathy, Carol & George McFeeters in addition to many extended family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents W. John and Marslie McFeeters. Our Dad was a sweet, funny, loving man that was not only a giant in stature but in presence with a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He will be missed tremendously. Please join us at a service being held on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the 9th Street Seventh Day Adventist Church, Grants Pass.
