JOAN MARK (nee Walker) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan – beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surrounded by her family, heaven’s angels welcomed Joan on Saturday, October 27th at the age of 86.

Joan was born on May 24th, 1932 to Rose and William Walker. Joan is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Don. Joan and Don met as a young couple in Port Perry and in July celebrated 70 years of a wonderful life together. Residing in Port Perry, Scarborough, Peterborough and Cambridge, Joan and Don shared a great family and friend life over the years and have enjoyed a lifetime of wonderful memories. Joan is the loving mother to her children Gail (Bruce), Sue (John), Ron (Pam), Don (Laurie), Patti (Steve), Deb (Doug).

Gramma Joan was blessed with 19 grandchildren whom she loved and adored – Rob (Joanna), Shannon, Krista (Jayme), Mike (Kristin), Erin (Pete), Jason (predeceased), Matthew, Kate (Rob), Jeff, Lauren, Shawna, Jessica (Kevin), Branden (Elyse), DJ, Josh, Meghan (Chris), John, Brayden, Liam. Great Gramma to 16 great grandchildren. A beautiful legacy.

Joan is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Jack), nieces and nephews and her best friend Phyllis.

Our family expresses gratitude for the kindness and love given to Joan by the staff at Hilltop Manor during her stay there.

Joan was a beautiful strong lady with a true heart of gold and was loved by all who met her. We will cherish her unconditional love, compassion, kindness, wit and support she gave to us all.
