Joyce Sizemore Wilson Obituary

Joyce Elizabeth Sizemore-Reagin-Wilson was 68 when she passed away on Decemember 14th 2018. She passed away peacefully at Wesley Commons in Greenwood SC, just down the street from her childhood residence. She was born June 10th 1950 to Betty and Jack Sizemore in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the oldest of 5 siblings, Jack, Janis, Julie and Jeff. She graduated from Greenwood High School where she was homecoming queen. Joyce was a magna cum laude graduate of Winthrop University where she was also Ms. Winthrop. She earned her Master’s in Education from Clemson. She was a teacher by trade and an active member in her community-at-large, as well as her church. Joyce was an avid reader, and writer being published in many forms and was the copywriter of Park Seeds Wayside Gardens magazine. Her favorite pass time was crosswords puzzles…she would routinely finish the whole puzzle, even the NY times. She loved to laugh and her sense of humor was one of her greatest attributes. Her encouragement to others was something that touched and blessed many lives. She is survived by her husband Bill Wilson (Portland Oregon): her 3 children Grant Reagin and his wife Patty (Greenwood, SC), Britt Reagin and his wife Greer (Summerville, SC), Elizabeth Marshall and her husband Jonathan (Blacksburg, VA): and her 9 grandchildren Bett Reagin, Neeley Reagin, and Grant Reagin Jr (Greenwood); Hughston Reagin, Harrison Reagin, Campbell Reagin (Summerville); Annie Marshall, Jack Marshall, and Samantha Kate Marshall (Blacksburg). Visitation will be at Blyth Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2pm at Rock Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, SC with the Reverend Dr. Chris Leonard presiding. Private family burial. At the request of her children and to honor Joyce’s legacy, In lieu of flowers please send a contribution to the 501C3 Friends of the Greenwood County Library, 600 South Main St Greenwood SC 29646.
