Mary Kay Williams Obituary

Mary Kay Williams, 71, of Jacksonville, IL, died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at The Grove Nursing & Rehab Center.


She was born to Orie and Joan (Kola) French Sharrow on September 8, 1953, in Jacksonville. Mary married James E. Williams, and he preceded her in death.


She is survived by her son, EJ Williams; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Landon, Payzleigh, Maeleigh, and Brayleigh Williams; siblings, Robin West, Tina, Mark, Peggy, and Rodney Sharrow; sister-in-law, Mary Moore; niece, Shalanda Berkley; and other family members.


Mary was a CNA at Barton W Stone Home for many years, before it became The Grove Nursing & Rehab Center. She enjoyed playing slots and games, like Yahtzee with her son, EJ. She also liked to go to yard sales. Mary especially liked spending time with her grandkids.


Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held at this time. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left online at buchanancody.com.
