Delois Hardrick was born on January 18, 1954 to the late John L. Hardrick, Sr. and the late Amy R. Hardrick. She was the oldest of nine children born to this union. She confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Avery Baptist Church, Margaret, Alabama under the late Reverend B. J. Long. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her new home, the Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Lois was preceded in death by a son, Reginald Hardrick. She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Tamiko L. (Victor) Thompson; two grandchildren, Caleb L. Thompson and Kayla V. Thompson, all of Helena, Alabama; four sisters, Brenda (Phillip) Strickland of Margaret, Alabama, Shirley Hardrick of Margaret, Alabama, Linda Gail (Toney) Davis of Margaret, Alabama, and Shonda (Kenneth) Patton of Margaret, Alabama; four brothers, John L. Hardrick, Jr. of Margaret, Alabama, Stanley (Miranda) Hardrick of Margaret, Alabama, Anthony (Brenda) Hardrick of San Antonio, Texas, Johnny Hardrick, Margaret, Alabama; three aunts, Dorothy Scott of Gary, Indiana, Cora Threatt of Margaret, Alabama and Marie Latham, Margaret, Alabama; three uncles, Ocie Hurd, Jr. of Margaret, Alabama, Rev. Eugene (Susie) Hardrick of Margaret, Alabama, and Lawrence Hardrick, Sr. of Trussville, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
