Whitney Shay Morrow Garden City, Idaho Obituary

Whitney Shay Morrow

Whitney Shay Morrow, age 26, died at home surrounded by family in Boise ID, on Saturday, November 5, 2016 due to a 7 year long battle with Cancer. Whitney was born June 21, 1990, in Boise Idaho. 9 pounds 12 ounce blue eyed baby girl. She took two years before she had a head of hair. Born on the first day of summer her birthdays were a summer tradition for her family. She was a Capital High graduate and had a love of reading. She often went to the public library and would get lost in the shelves of books. Whitney read the classics and loved the new stuff. She even wrote two books while in grade school, winning an award. Whitney always excelled in school, landing her on the honor roll multiple times throughout her years in school. Her other passion was music and she was into all types. Learning to play the guitar came easy to her. Whitney also loved the outdoors. She was an avid camper and enjoyed the hunt. She excelled at cliff jumping with other family members. Her favorite place to go was Atlanta. She loved the fresh air, hiking on the trails and just getting away. She was a caregiver for a short time as she enjoyed helping others. She worked at several assisted living facilities and was loved by all. She enjoyed hearing the residents stories. They knew they would be taken care of when Whitney was working. Survivors include Mr. Pickles her short time companion and her parents, Tesa and Paris. Sisters Mariah and Alanis. Her brother in law Ryan Perez, nephews Jaxon and Jaden, grandparents Larry and Phyllis Crist and Nancy Morrow. Many aunts, uncles and cousins. Whitney always had a smile on her face, even through the toughest of times. She never wanted her family to worry about her. She was such an amazing person and is truly missed by all. Thank you to Legacy Hospice, all the doctors and nurses who have cared for her and gave us more time with her, and to all of our family and friends who helped us throughout Whitneys journey. Services will be held at on 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 , at Bowman Funeral home at 10254 W. Carlton Bay Drive, Garden City. Reception immediately following.
