Margaret Freda Almberg

Margaret Freda Almberg died at the age of 95 on Monday, November 26, in her residence at Grace Senior Living in Boise Idaho. Margaret was born November 22, 1923, in Hillsberg, Oregon, to Swiss immigrants, Joseph Franz Bucher and Freda Mary Tannler-Bucher. She has one living sibling, Mary Krebs. And four brothers, Daniel Stoller,Joseph A., John D., James R. Bucher, all deceased. Margaret attended Multnomah Elementary, Franklin Primary, and Joseph Kellogg. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon in 1941. Later that year she met and eventually married Gust R. Almberg (deceased, WW II US Army veteran) on March 10, 1942, in Vancouver, Washington. Throughout her life, her Christian faith and commitment to church service have been of utmost importance. A mother of five (5) still living children, Sharon Helen, Richard Dwayne, Lawrence Edward, Elden Ray and Kenneth Harry. In addition she has 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Our mother loved to walk, especially in wooded hills. She enjoyed road trips and conversation with friends. She studied her Bible religiously and had a soft spot for those in need of comfort. She lived a servants life. Services are planned: Friday, November 30, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. a memorial service at the Eagle Nazarene Church, luncheon to follow at the church. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. a graveside service at Abby View Memorial Park, 3601 Alaska Road, Brier, WA 98036. Margaret requested no flowers, and if anyone feels compelled to offer a memorial gift that it be given to NW Adult and Teen Challenge, Graham Womens Campus, 21115 E. 92nd. Ave., Graham, WA 98338. 253-846-0888.
