Dawn R. Gibbs, 47, of Quincy, died Wednesday afternoon, December 5, 2018, at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, in Battle Creek, MI. She was born June 25, 1971 in Hudson, MI, to Charles L. Gibbs Sr. and Avis (Thompson) Wright. Dawn was a 1989 graduate of Pittsford High School and attended the Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI. She enjoyed collecting frogs, loved her family and her two dogs, Hershey and Molly. Dawn is survived by her children, Issaiah Gibbs of Hillsdale, MI, Bailey McQuestion of Toledo, OH, and Tavis Creek of Osseo, MI; her mother, Avis Wright of Hillsdale, MI; her significant other, Troy Piper of Quincy, MI; her two sisters, Billie Gibbs, Angela Payne, and three brothers, Charles L. Gibbs Jr., Robert D. (Heather) Gibbs, Porter (Brandy) Gibbs, all of Hillsdale, MI; and her grandchildren Rhys and Parsley. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Gibbs Sr. A graveside service for Dawn will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Brian Nutter officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
