Anthony Dewayne Griffis, age 51 of Wewoka, OK departed this life on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at his home. He was born April 27, 1967 in Wewoka, OK to the late Freddie Griffis and Dorothy Davis Griffis.

Anthony attended school and graduated from Wewoka High School and later attended Langston University. He worked for Blue Wave in Seminole and Colclazier Law Seminole as a laborer. He united with St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church Wewoka at a very young age. He later moved his membership to Middle Creek Baptist Church in Sasakwa, OK. Anthony was avid Basketball and Football watcher. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Preceding Anthony in death are his parents, brothers Kerry Griffis, Terry Griffis, Arthur Ray Griffis, Freddie Houston Griffis; one sister Shirley Ann Griffis.

Those left to Cherish Anthony's memories are his children Anthony Jerrell Griffis of Tecumseh, OK, Arsenio Keon Lamar Griffis of Wewoka, OK; one daughter Talicia Griffis of Oklahoma City;
Brothers and sisters James (Patricia) Griffis of Norman, OK, Oliver (Ethel) Barkus of Tulsa, OK, Edward "Bear" (Marvis) Griffis of Oklahoma City, Anthony (Karen) Wayne Griffis of Oklahoma City, Hiawatha "Tack" (Ruth Ann) Griffis of Edmond, and one sister Sharon Ann Griffis of Wewoka; two Aunties Lillie Mae Phillips of Wewoka, OK, Norge Griffis of Edmond, OK: Grandchildren Makiyah Elise Coker, Teagan Renee Griffis, Messiah Dewayne Griffis, and Xy Leigh RaShawn Griffis, and a a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Willie Guient Officiating and burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery.
