Nathaniel A. Reed, Sr. (Nate) March 18, 1931 - November 12, 2015 Resided in San Antonio, TX Nathaniel Angelo Reed, Sr. (Nate) passed away Thurs November 12, 2015 with his family at his side. Nate was born in Chicago, IL on March 18, 1931 to Osie Reed, Sr. & Mary Reed who preceded him in death. Nate is survived by his wife Barbara and children Harold (Edna), Larry, Ronald (Caroline), Phyllis (Melvin), Nate Jr. (Linda) and Lynne (Jerry) and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nate is also survived by his sister Odell (Kelsey). His other siblings Ida Mae, Juanita, Osie Jr., Marjorie, Orlean and Isabelle also preceded him in death. He faithfully served his country in the Korean War and after his honorable discharge from the Army he went to work for the United States Post Office for over 30 years prior to retiring. During his retirement Nate enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Nate was always admired by his peers, friends and family for his wise advice and witty humor. He will be missed by all that came to know him and his kind, quiet spirit.
