Ron Skorczewski, age 79, of rural Canby, MN passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, March 20th at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, MN. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, March 19th at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, MN with sharing of memories at 7pm. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel of Canby, MN is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ronald Wayne Skorczewski was born on January 14, 1946, in Hendricks, Minnesota, to John (Jack) and Sophie (Biranowski) Skorczewski. He graduated from Canby High School and began his career as a mechanic in Marshall, Minnesota.

On December 7, 1974, Ron married Dorothy Parker in Lake Benton, Minnesota. Together, they were blessed with four children: Cory, Wes, Nikki, and Jennifer. Ron had a deep love for farming, painting, and working with tractors. He also cherished time spent with his family, friends, and his special friend, Jackie.

Ron shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Dorothy. Their children and grandchildren were a source of pride and joy for Ron. He is survived by his children: Cory (Julie)of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and their children Kylie (Jason) Dickerson Kneifl, Austin Pohlen, and Drew and Teagan Skorczewski; Wes(Jena)of Brandon, South Dakota, and their sons Brad and Dawson Skorczewski; Nikki (Jeremy)Wajer of Dell Rapids, South Dakota and their children Kyra, Jaden, and Ryker; and Jennifer Starkson of Faribault, Minnesota, and her sons Hayden and Hendrix Starkson.

Ron was fortunate to have shared the later years of his life with his special friend, Jackie Dybdahl. Together, they enjoyed traveling and making memories with friends and family.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents, Jack and Sophie; and his sister, Jane Kulla.

Ron will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
