(Norma Timms) Norma Ethel Hincher Timms, 93, of Belton, and wife of the late Rev. Dr. Delbert S. Timms, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born November 16, 1931, in Johnson City, TN, she was a daughter of the late Granville Charles Hincher, and the late Mary Lillian Young Hincher.
Mrs. Timms was a graduate of the East Tennessee State Training School and was a chiropractic assistant for several years. She found great joy in serving as a pastor’s wife and was active in the ministry of each church they served. She was a member of High Praises Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Melanie Timms Riddle, her son, Dr. Keith D. Timms (Amy), grandchildren, Timothy Riddle (Ansleigh), Morgan Riddle, Dr. Hannah Timms, Harrison Timms (Dr. Lydia Timms), and her great-grandson, Alexander Timms.
She is also survived by her brother, Larry Hincher.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ella and Elva Hincher, her son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Thomas Riddle, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Hincher.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Ray Boggs, Rev. Chris Sustar, and Dr. Melanie Timms Riddle will officiate. Burial, beside her husband, will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.
