Marilyn Atkins, a beacon of laughter and love, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Northland after a brief illness, with the same grace she carried throughout her life. Born on September 6, 1955, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, Marilyn’s infectious smile and kind heart touched everyone she met. She left us at the age of 69, leaving a legacy of joy and cherished memories.
A graduate of Rice Lake High School, Marilyn’s work ethic and attention to detail were evident in her long-standing career as an electronic assembler, a role she dedicated herself to until her well-deserved retirement in 2022. Her colleagues knew her as a person who brought warmth and humor to the workplace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Dorothy (Tomesh) Schwab, her brother, Jim Schwab and brother-in-law, Mitch Atkins.
