Alan Russell Robarge Obituary

Alan Russell Robarge 89 of Harrison MI. passed away on Thursday March 13th 2025.

Mr. Robarge, also known as Al, was born September 19, 1935 in Sandusky MI. to parents John and Kathryn (Lieber) Robarge.

Al was a loving husband of his wife Delores Carter, who he married on June 1, 1957 in Detroit. He was a devoted father to his children. Jacqueline (Joseph) Azzopardi of Chesterfield township. Michelle (Roger) Robarge of Flora City, Florida. Alan II (Barb) Robarge of Marine City. Pamela (David) Grzenkowicz of Lapeer. He is survived by 12 grandchildren Adam, Erik, Alex, Austin, Stephen, George, Cynthia, Alan lll, Trevor, Mitchell, Miranda and Paige along with 12 great grandchildren.

Al was a founder of the Hell's our home Detroit motorcycle club. As a young family. They enjoyed snowmobiling and summer barbecues with club members and their families. Al worked hard to support his growing family as a owner of a tool & die shop. He was also a mentor for his son, his son in laws and many young men that wanted to learn the trade. He was an amazing mechanic that could take anything apart and put it back together again in working order….(yes, there were always some leftover parts when he was done). He passed on his mechanical knowledge to his children and several grandchildren. After retirement, he moved with his beloved wife to their lake house in Harrison, Michigan. Their once family cabin, that held weekend getaways and many family reunions, became their cherished home. Al was known for his jokes and his one-liners. If he was asked how he was doing, he'd often say "I woke up on the right side of the grass." Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working to restore old motorcycles. He was lucky to have many amazing neighbors always willing to lend a helping hand or to keep him company throwing back a few beers.

Alan is proceeded in death by his beloved wife Delores Robarge, his son Alan Robarge II and brother Delisle Robarge and aforementioned parents.

Al's cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. No formal services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions are encouraged to the LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care, 4085 Lapeer Rd., Burton, MI 48509.
