Born 03/29/1927 to Melvin & N. Beatrice (Brown) Williams in Petosksey, MI.  She was about 6 years old when her family moved to White Cloud on Baseline, where she was raised and attended White Cloud Public Schools, and graduated in 1945.

Then to Newaygo Sports office as they were going to a universal accounting system, then to the Newaygo County School system. It was at this time that the 32-year marriage to Ted Prestly, Sr., ended in divorce.

Doris went to Butterworth Hospital ER, where she worked several years and did bookwork at a gas station while in Grand Rapids, MI. She then applied to be office manager at a rehab center in Florida; then to an Annex Clinic of Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte; then to Englewood to the new hospital until it was organized resulting going back to Fawcett Hospital, where she worked in several positions.

While in Florida she reunited with her childhood sweetheart, and retired from hospital work, only to be asked to come to work for doctors who had left the hospital ER to start their own business, the American Medical Association, with 17 doctors. Jack and Doris were married March 17,1990 in Florida.
