Charles M. Ryland, Age 86, of Brooksville FL, passed Away March 12, 2025 @ 6:05 AM.  He was born in Bartlesville, OK in 1938.  Came here years ago in 1995 from San Antonio, TX and settled in New Port Richey.  Then in 2012, they moved to Brooksville, FL and in 2014, joined Pastor Hope & the Cowboy Church.

Survived by Louise (wife); Doreen (step-daughter); Carla-(daughter), Hoss (son-in-law), 3 Grandchildren- Aydin, Davyn, & Victoria. Sister- Charlyne & husband Nathan Lanford; Sister- Anita & husband Chuck Musgrave.

Service for Family & Friends Will be received on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 12 noon at Stable Faith Cowboy Church in Brooksville FL. Officiant- Pastor David Hope

Charles will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

 Charles was born & raised in OK, after college, he was drafted in 1962 to serve in the Army for 2 years during Korea & Peace Time as an Accountant.  Eventually he made his way to San Antonio TX, working at US Army Ft Sam Houston. He met his wife Louise in 1977, & they married in 1981. They enjoyed the cowboy country way of life, raising farm animals, going on trailrides, deer hunting & driving a tractor. He forego that luxury life when they took their jobs overseas & he continued his

civil service as an Accountant working at US Army Headquarters Europe Chief of Accounts Office in Heidelberg Germany for 6 years, followed by another 5 year hardship tour to US Army base Ft Shafter, Honolulu HI. Returning back to the continental US,

finished up at Army HQ Finance & Accounting Center, Indianapolis IN.  He retired in 1994, when they moved to FL & have lived here since.

Charles loved to ride horses, bowl, play tennis, volksmarch & travel. He had traveled 26 countries while living in Europe.
