Sylvia S. (Tipton) Clevenger Angelidis, 81, passed away March 9, 2025. She was born in Akron and was a 1961 graduate of St. Vincent High School. She worked in the radiology department at Akron General Hospital for 25 years and was an Administrator at the Akron Clinic for 10 years. She also loved working in the yard and tending to her beautiful flowers – she always had the best yard in the neighborhood.

Later in life, Sylvia moved to Kalamazoo, MI where she was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was the director of volunteers at Ministry for Community for the homeless. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own and was loved by so many due to her giving nature. Despite a stroke that limited her capabilities, she never complained and still looked forward to helping others. She was sweet and kind-hearted, and she will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Tipton; brother, Robert Tipton; and sister, Leslie Rooney. She is survived by her children, William and Matthew Clevenger and Stacy (Juan) Aguilar; grandchildren, Daniel and Sophie; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 12 - 2:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
