Curtis Patterson Obituary

Curtis Patterson, Sr. the son of the late Deacon Joe Patterson and Janetta Patterson was born October 29, 1948, in Pineland, SC. He was raised in Pineland and attended Jasper County Public Schools. Curtis was a 1970 graduate of Ridgeland High School. After high school he started working at Wayne Line Chair Factory in the late 70’s until he was hired at Palmetto Electric as a meter reader. He was later promoted to Crew Chief. Curtis was employed for 32 ½ years at Palmetto Electric and after retiring from there, he started his own electrical business, CnP Electrical Services. He worked for himself for many years until he became unable to because of his sickness.

Curtis met Debra Rivers and was joined in Holy Matrimony on December 24, 1970. From that union they were blessed with three wonderful children, Tammy, Curtis Jr. and Jennifer.

Curtis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to work but he loved his family more than anything in the world. He touched the hearts of many with his kind heart and warm smile. He was a very humble man and did what he could do for anyone.

On March 9, 2025, God decided he needed a good, humble Deacon in Heaven. God took his hand and lead him to glory.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 54 years, Debra M. Patterson of Ridgeland, SC, his oldest daughter, Tammy Denise Patterson of Rincon, GA, his son, Curtis Patterson, Jr (Angela), of Ridgeland, SC and his youngest daughter, Jennifer L. Horne (Omar) of Rincon, GA. Four grandsons, Curtis Patterson III of Syracuse, NY, Javon Allen of Columbia, SC, Devin K. Patterson of Ridgeland, SC and Kingston S. Horne of Rincon, GA and one granddaughter Wynter A. Horne of Rincon, GA.  Two loving brothers George Patterson of Beaufort, SC and Syndey Patterson (Deborah) of Pooler, GA and one sister Dora Patterson of Hilton Head Island, SC. He had five brothers that preceded him in death Joe Patterson, Jr, James Patterson, Isiah Patterson, Evanical Patterson, and Franklin Patterson and three sister that preceded him in death Rita Mae Patterson, Bessie Mae Russell and Eloise Patterson.   He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, grandnephews, grandnieces and friends that love him dearly.
