Charlene H. Surrett, age 57 of Marion, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Born on November 4, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Cecile Surrett and Mary Crain. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Surrett.

Charlene was a loving friend, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed horseback riding, boat riding, and spending time outdoors. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Charlene is survived by her loving partner, Dale Eric O’Kelley; son, Dale Eric O’Kelley, Jr.; daughter, Amanda Surrett; granddaughters: Aiden Grier and Madison Grier; step-son, Dylan Rockwell; step-daughter-in-law, Jenna Rockwell; step-grandchildren: Riley, Sharon, and Dylan Rockwell, Jr.; sister, Susie Surrett; brothers: Ray Surrett and Dale Surrett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the McMahan / O’Kelley Cemetery at: 89 Walt Road, Burnsville, NC, 28714. Rev. Steve Jones will be officiating.
