<p>Veda M. Frank, age 70, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Mayo Hospital in Sparta, Wisconsin. She was born to Edward and Marie (Schieven) Stickney in Tomah, Wisconsin. She was a 1974 graduate of Tomah High School. Veda was joined in marriage to Stephen Frank in 1979.</p><p><br></p><p>For four decades, Veda served with compassion and dedication at the Tomah VA Hospital. Her gentle touch and infinite patience made a significant impact on the lives of countless veterans and their families. Veda's caring nature extended beyond her professional role, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.</p><p><br></p><p>Her love for the Tomah community was evident through her active involvement with the Tomah American Legion Post 201 Auxiliary. Veda's commitment to service was unwavering, and her contributions to the organization left an indelible mark on its members and the many veterans it served.</p><p><br></p><p>A true Wisconsinite, she bled green and gold, cheering on her beloved Packers through every season with unyielding enthusiasm. Her passion for NASCAR racing also showcased her love for excitement and competition, a trait that she shared with friends and family.</p><p><br></p><p>She ended every conversation with "love you," a simple yet profound reminder of her loving spirit. Veda proudly attended many of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Her family meant the world to her, she will be deeply missed.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children, Samantha (Ernie) Bach and Eric (Sonnet) Frank, her grandchildren, Taylor (Dawson Swatek), Haylee, Cayden, Jason, Kellan and Nathan, brother, Don (Marcy) Stickney, sister-in-law, Patty Stickney, her former husband, Stephen Frank (Sam Murphy), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie, her daughter Stephanie, her sister, Lori and brother, Gary.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Veda’s life will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah.
