Brunswick - Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, 70, died Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Albany Medical Center Hospital New Scotland Avenue after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, was daughter of the late George E. Bush and Shirley Smith Bush. She was raised in Waterford and resided in Montreal for 9 years, Broadalbin for 18 years, West Sand Lake for 16 years, retiring to Brunswick. She was a graduate of Waterford-Halfmoon High School class of 1972, Castleton State College in Vermont, McGill University in Montreal where she earned 2 Master's degrees and then her Doctoral degree from Drew University in 1995. She was an ordained Deacon of the United Methodist Church in 1977, an Elder of the United Church of Canada in 1980. Her Orders were recognized back to the Troy Conference in 1985. 

Pat was a United Methodist Church minister. She served in the Montreal Presbytery Group Ministry, Broadalbin United Methodist Church, and retired in 2019 from Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake. 

She loved swimming, she summered as a lifeguard at Camp Missisquoi, loved tennis, singing and working with children in worship. Pat was on several Methodist Conference Committee's, including the Board of Ordained Ministry and Candidate Mentor Coordinator. 

Survivors include her partner, Barbara Pegrum and son,Thomas (Liz) Hermann; a sister-in-law, Patrice Muraski-Bush and was niece of Ralph (Barbara) Smith and Helen Bush. Also survived by many beloved cousins. Pat was predeceased by a brother, Randolph G. Bush. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 15 Ridge Place, Latham on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 3- 6 PM. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church Latham with Rev. Drew Sperry and Rev. Gordon Drake, co-officiating. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery Waterford.
