Thomas F. Sebastinas, 83, of Bern Township, died peacefully on March 9, 2025, at Penn State Health–St. Joseph, with his family by his side.
He was the loving husband of Maureen Ann (Handley) Sebastinas, with whom he shared almost 60 years of marriage.
Born November 17, 1941, in Norfolk, VA, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Martha A. (Straigis) Sebastinas. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Thomas graduated from Kingston High School, Kingston, PA, in 1960. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960-1964 and was later employed as a technical service representative with National Cash Register for 37 years, retiring in 2003.
A devoted family man and proud Penn State football fan, he found peace fishing in the Great Lakes region of New York and birdwatching in the quiet moments. But nothing brought him more joy than supporting his grandchildren from the sidelines of their sporting events. His love for his family will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Semper Fi!
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his three children: Thomas F. Sebastinas, Jr. of Reading; Kathleen M. Light, widower of Dean E. Light of Temple; and Jennifer S., wife of Daniel S. Reber of Wyomissing.
