Born August 4, 1947 to Yvonne LaCroix Conn and Edwin Dixon Conn, Sr. in Kirbyville, Texas, Robert died March 9, 2025 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 77 years and 7 months.



Robert was raised in Kirbyville before embarking on his academic journey at Southwestern University in Georgetown, where he obtained a BA degree. Upon returning to his hometown, Robert briefly engaged in teaching at Kirbyville Jr High School before assuming the role of Tax Assessor for Kirbyville ISD. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, culminating in the acquisition of his law degree. For the past 44 years, Robert has been dedicated to the practice of law in Kirbyville.



Robert is survived by brother Charles H. Conn and his spouse Sandra of Beaumont, sister-in-law Susan Cornell of Kirbyville, nephews Edwin Dixon Conn III, Charles H Conn Jr. and his spouse Claudia Silbosa all of Beaumont, Jeffery W Laird and his spouse Sarah of Houston. Robert is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.



Robert was predeceased by his parents, brother Edwin Dixon Conn, Jr. and sister Julia Conn.


Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, March 15 at the funeral home.
