Beverly Jean Mayford (Carriveau) peacefully departed this life on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at home amongst family.
Beverly was born on December 29, 1932 in Oconto, Wisconsin to Felix and Marie (Rouse) Carriveau. She was the youngest of 13 children and grew up learning the value of hard work on their family farm. Some of her favorite memories were riding her horse, Floss, and the time she spent with her mother whom she adored. After High School, she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in Milwaukee she met and married Richard Mayford, whom she had 4 children with. Beverly had many past times. She loved to fish, and spent many wonderful summers up at Squirrel lake with her family. Another love was gardening. She truly had a green thumb, and was very proud of her beautiful roses and flower beds. She enjoyed showing them to whoever stopped by. Beverly also volunteered for many years at the church she belong to in Cudahy. She was always willing to help out wherever they needed her.
Bev was a strong woman who wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind. She was also very loving and giving. She was the best mother and grandmother, who always had some wise words to share. She made many of her family smile with her wisecrack comments, and quick witted comebacks. Beverly was truly a gem, and will be missed immensely.
She is survived by her children; Mark (Karen) Mayford, Diane (Chris) Mayford, Sandra (Joe) Schaeffer, Scott Mayford. Also her grandchildren; Siena, Kiley, Miranda, Jack, Sydney, Samantha and Avery. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Felix Carriveau, four brothers; Lloyd, Earl, Russel and John. Eight sisters; Margaret, Blanche, Eleanor, Doris, Phylis, Elaine, Laverne and Margaret Ann.
The family will receive visitation on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 from 4:00pm- 6:00pm at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Home, 3275 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207. There will be a short memorial service to follow.
