It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alonzo Hubert Brown on March 9, 2025, at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 67 years of age.
He was predeceased by his parents Lily and Zach Brown; brother Verdon Brown; sister Alva Pope; nephew Ephraim Brown; great niece Esma; father-in-law Winston Hibbs.
Alonzo so cherished his wife Melinda for 25 years. He was a man who cherished and loved his family. He always had a big heart and was always there to give to anyone who needed help in any way.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, anything to do with the great outdoors.
Alonzo always had a smile for everyone he came in contact with, right up to his last breath.
Alonzo especially loved moose hunting with his boys, also with his late brother Verdon. He always shared a special bond with his brothers and horses.
One highlight of his life was his grandchildren, he cherished them all the same.
He leaves to mourn his wife Melinda; sons: Lloyd (Nancy), Billy (Vicki), Jarret (Robin), Lorne (Cassie), Devon (Gillian); daughters Jennifer, Tosha (Shawn); brothers Bruce (Julie), Pleman (Marie), Gerald (Victoria); sisters Caroline (Byron), Nicole (Sam), Lorraine “Tina” (Randy), Molly (Jessie); mother-in-law Louise Hibbs; 13 grandchildren; as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alonzo will be forever missed by all who knew him and loved him.
