Arthur P. Blackman, 82, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Coldwater Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Arthur was born on September 4, 1942, in Bangor, Maine to Arthur L. and Luba (Garber) Blackman. He married Janice M. Goody on August 8, 1959, in South Brewer, Maine.


Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved having a good barbeque with the family and playing games like pinochle. He enjoyed watching sports and old westerns on TV, he especially liked “The Duke” John Wayne.


Survivors include his children Ricky Blackman of Coldwater, Pamela Blackman of Coldwater, and Donald (Wendy) Blackman of Ypsilanti; sister, Cheryl Blackman of Brewer, Maine as well as 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.


Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice; son, Dennis and sister, Ann Marie MacArthur.


Per Arthurs request, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial services.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
