Robert Joseph "RJ" Herrick, age 55, of Inman, SC, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

RJ is survived by his loving wife, Artemesia "Tammy" Herrick; his siblings Martin D. Pritchard (Heidi), Charles P. Pritchard, Melody Rahall (Jeff), and Donald W. Pritchard (Sissy); his sister-in-law Bess Abrams (Joshua); nephews Ian Abrams and Walter Pritchard; nieces Mea Abrams and Jessica Marino; his mother, Patricia Herrick; and his cousins Cheryl and Shelly Herrick. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Bean, and his faithful dog, Porter. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Herrick, and his grandmother, Jane Rode.

RJ had a deep appreciation for life and nature, finding joy in fishing, hiking, and exploring the world around him. An avid fan of 80s music, he could always be found reminiscing about his favorite bands. His love for animals was unmatched, and he had a special way of connecting with every creature he encountered. He also had a deep passion for studying history and religion, always seeking to expand his knowledge.

Above all, RJ will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and his ability to bring laughter into the lives of those around him. He had a gift for brightening any room and making even the hardest days a little easier with his quick wit and kind heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the ASPCA or The Sarcoidosis Association, honoring his lifelong love for animals and his journey with the disease.

RJ will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, kindness, and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
