Martha “Marty” Dean (English) (Johnson) Sebring, 83, passed away Sunday, March 9th, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones in Macomb, Oklahoma.

She was born to Dees Wilson English and Paralee (Lindsey) English on June 4th, 1941, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, the third of five children. Martha grew up in Choctaw and attended Choctaw Schools.

Martha married Walter Lee Johnson Sr in 1957. Together they had two children they raised in Choctaw. She was a home maker before going to work for Ma Bell, later known as Southwestern Bell; then AT&T. Martha worked as a quality control technician for the company. She retired from AT&T to become a full-time grandma. 

Martha loved OU football and bled Crimson and Crème. She faithfully watched every game, even through the turbulent years. She was anything but a fair-weather fan. Martha enjoyed cooking and loved her grandchildren, who always benefited from her delicious meals! She often commented how she loved to hear the sound of the grandkids and great grandkids running around the house and laughing.

Martha maintained a well-manicured, bright and beautiful flower bed at her home. She would be quick to tell you that her hero was her momma, Paralee. Martha often told humorous stories about her childhood with her momma and siblings. She was a life long member of Bethel Church in Choctaw and attended until her health prevented her attendance.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, Dees Wilson English; Mother, Paralee (Lindsey) (English) Arivett; Infant Brother, Theodore Earnest English; Brother, Paul Edward English; Brother, John Dees English and former husband and friend, Walter Lee Johnson Sr.

Martha is survived by her Sister: Mary Bernice (English) Redus of McLoud, Ok; Two children: Walter Lee Johnson Jr. of Macomb, Ok, and Deanna Bergeron and husband, Gary, of Shawnee, Ok; Four grandchildren: Ronnie Johnson and wife, Amanda, of Macomb, Ok; Robert Johnson and wife, Michelle, of Norman, Ok; Melissa and Mitchell Bergeron; ten great-grandchildren: Katie Earhart and husband, Robert; Megan Swift and husband, Brandon; Amanda Houze and husband, Prater; Sarah Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Mason Johnson, Brooklynn Johnson, Emily Johnson, James Johnson and Kyrie Bergeron; seven great-great grandchildren: Mikah Barriga, Elizzabella Barriga, Raeya Earhart, Ashton Earhart, Tommie Swift, Benjamin Swift and Clifton Howze; and other extended family and friends.
