William Carroll McKinley, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on February 5, 1938, to Melvin Lee McKinley and Minnie Cleo Day McKinley. He was a successful case runner for a meat packing company. Surviving are his sisters; Shirley McKinley Sharpe and Linda McKinley Burcham, along with several nieces and nephews. William's interests and hobbies were a reflection of his creative soul. He loved playing the guitar and whittling. William's love for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who visited his home. William was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hill.
As we bid farewell to William Carroll McKinley, we celebrate a life well-lived, and we wish to add a special thank you to his family at Somerset Court of Mocksville, for taking such good care of him. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
