Eddie James Cuiksa, 76, of Avery, Texas passed away on March 9th, 2025. Eddie was a proud Vietnam War veteran, Teamsters Local 745 member, and retiree of Roadway Express where he gladly worked for 31 years. Following his retirement, Eddie and his wife, Mary moved to the country and started a farm doing what they love to do; gardening, caring for livestock, fishing, and spending time outdoors were just a few things that filled their days. Eddie enjoyed traveling throughout his life, but especially loved family vacations to Colorado with his children when they were younger.
Eddie’s keen sense of humor made him an easy person to befriend. His jokes and stories filled every room he entered. This, paired with his outgoing personality, were just part of what made him so unique. He never met a stranger and had immense personability.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jozefa Cuiksa, his brother David Cuiksa, and his great grandson Hunter Wells.
